We’re kicking off the first-ever Singles Match Play League at Apex Golf Club. Seven different opponents. Weekly cash prizes. Gross and net competition. Then it all comes down to the playoffs.

Two-Man Scramble League

Mondays · 9 weeks · 8 teams max

Grab a partner.

Get ready for nine weeks of head-to-head two-man scramble competition. With only eight teams, everyone plays everyone once before the playoffs begin.

  • Weeks 1–7: Round-robin match play
  • Each team plays every other team once.
  • Week 8: Playoffs
  • Week 9: Championship

02 · Gross & net competition

Team handicaps

Team handicaps will be calculated using:

  • 35% of the lower handicap
  • 15% of the higher handicap

Team handicap = (lower handicap × 35%) + (higher handicap × 15%).

We’ll track both gross and net scores throughout the regular season.

4-Man Scramble League

Tuesdays & Wednesdays

Get your foursome together.

Weekly gross and net competition. Season-long standings. $1,400 in guaranteed regular-season cash payouts. And a season-ending APEX MAJOR.

Play a 4-man scramble with weekly gross and net standings and a season-long points race.

Nine-week season

  • Weeks 1–7: Regular season, with $200 in weekly cash prizes.
  • Week 8: First playoff week. No payouts of any kind.
  • Week 9: Championship week — the APEX MAJOR.

03 · Week 9 · Championship

The APEX MAJOR

1.5× points

The second playoff week is championship week: the APEX MAJOR. Points are worth 1.5×, giving teams one last opportunity to make a major move in the standings.

The APEX MAJOR will also feature an additional Grand Prize.

04 · A fair start

Handicaps

We need a handicap for all four players on your team.

GolfZon Handicap
Preferred and used as listed.
GHIN / 18Birdies / Other App Handicap
Adjusted downward by 25% for simulator play.
No Established Handicap
A league handicap will be estimated for the start of the season.

When you register, send us each player’s:

  • Handicap
  • Handicap source: GolfZon, GHIN, 18Birdies/App, or Estimated

After Week 2: Team handicaps will be based entirely on league scoring. Individual starting handicaps will no longer be used. Accurate starting handicaps are important.
